Three New Women Judges

Sulaimani, July 22 – In another landmark decision to promote women’s participation in public service, the Ministry of Justice in the Kurdistan Regional Government has decided to allocate three new judicial posts to women. Qualified women are asked to submit their applications to fill the three posts according to the normal judicial appointment procedures. A woman judge has been presiding over a court in the city of Sulaimani since the beginning of the year for the first time.
